Thousands take steps toward joining the Church this Easter

Across the US tens of thousands of prospective Catholics began the final phase of preparation for joining the Church, a process that will culminate with the sacraments of Christian initiation at the Easter Vigil. The Spirit is present, even as we suffer as a Church. For me, it is a reminder to turn my face to gaze on God, to stop a minute from endless chattering and planning about debating, and wonder in silence at why we are all here in the first place, together, united, one Body... the Body of Christ.
